New Year, New Look

Happy 2017! As you may have noticed, things have been quiet at the RR blog...as you also may have noticed, it's because we've been working hard on a total website/blog re-haul! Snaps for new design!

We had a very exciting 2016, and turned out several projects that we are extremely proud of. Check out our updated Portfolio to see the latest photos...like these gorgeous shots of our "Down By The River" project.

Down By The River

Oh gosh, where do I start...this home went through an amazing transformation. Originally built in the 1960's, there were some original architectural features that we wanted to highlight while still bringing the design into the 21st century. For example, the living room fireplace! How's that for a before & after?

The original galley kitchen had lots of storage space, but no room for a family of 5 to sit together for meals. We installed a custom bench so that the family could all enjoy time together. Bringing light into the kitchen was also a priority. We removed the wall that divided the living room and kitchen, and went with gorgeous nimbus grey cabinetry. White subway tiles and a few open shelves kept the kitchen looking airy and bright.

There were also some major changes to the home (change = good). The Master ensuite started off as an itty bitty bizarre bidet space with an original seashell sink and...well...interesting tub/shower (I've never understood why people in the 60's put water-permeable material - like WOOD - into a wet space) that needed a gut. Look at the before pictures. This was not a big enough space to be considered an ensuite. So we took it to the next level.

Now BOOM, after photos, that's an ensuite!!! We blew out the back wall and doubled the space in the bathroom. A gorgeous tiled shower, spa tub, double vanity with quartz counter tops, and a make up station make up this retreat.

Then there was the Master Bedroom. Wallpaper, carpet, the usual. The homeowners took one look at those bi-fold closets though and realized "Yikes, this won't be enough space!". So, again, we blew out a wall and took over an extra bedroom to make an AMAZING walk-in closet.
