Before + After: Scandinavia Meet Alberta

We're almost done this amazing renovation, and we are so excited! The previous home was a bit stuck in the 1970's, but we worked with Diamond Contracting to bring it into the 21st Century! The clean, Scandinavian-inspired design is complemented by geometric tile design, funky light fixtures, and warm walnut tones. See the "Before" shots on the left and "After" on the right!

We expanded the master bathroom, kitchen, and back entry to create an open concept. We also created open stairs to the basement which lends light to the small space.

The existing fireplace was dated and the shelves were sagging. We installed a new gas fireplace with custom built-ins and a beautiful floor-to-ceiling grey ceramic tile face. The floating shelves and cabinets keep the space open and bright, ready to display art and family photos.

If there'e one thing this house needed, it was a bigger kitchen! We eliminated the formal dining room and increased the kitchen space. Additional cabinetry, floating shelves (to mirror the details in the living room fireplace), a pantry unit, and an island provide much more storage and meal prep space.

To create a main-floor laundry room, we eliminated the home office that closed off the side entrance. Diamond Contracting built an amazing built-in locker unit for the entrance. No more walking down to the basement to pop that load from the washer into the dryer!

We are so excited to wrap this job up and show you the completed project! If you haven't already, subscribe below to stay up to date with all our projects!
